What is Intersectionality?
Intersectionality is a way of understanding how different forms of discrimination like racism, homophobia, and ableism, can overlap and make it harder for some women and girls to take part in sport.
It’s an important concept for promoting gender equity in sport because one solution won’t work for everyone. If we don’t recognize these differences, we might accidentally create more barriers instead of removing them.
