Same Game: Helping Make Sport More Inclusive for Everyone
Same Game is a program that helps sport leaders across Canada learn how to make sport more fair and welcoming for everyone, especially girls and women.
Many people face unfair barriers when trying to take part in sports. The Same Game Challenge helps sport leaders remove these barriers and create safer, more inclusive sport spaces for girls and women.

What’s the Commitment for Organizations?
Organizations taking part in Same Game are expected to stay active and involved throughout the 6-month program. Here's what that looks like:
- At least one staff member must attend Community of Practice and coaching session
- Two people from your organization should join the program
- Take part in five (5) one-on-one meetings with your Same Game Coach
- Stay involved for the full 6 months of the program
- Share your experience by submitting testimonials or feedback
- Engage with the Same Game Challenge throughout the program
- Be available for a check-in every 3 weeks with your group and/or coach

"Special Olympics BC took part in the Same Game Challenge to support their mission of inclusion and make meaningful progress on their goals for gender equity and diversity. Staff training opportunities led to knowledge sharing throughout a wide range of the organization's members and events. The organization continues to develop policies, procedures, and initiatives to strengthen inclusion throughout programs and competitions. An example of a recent opportunity was the pronoun stickers offered to all participants at the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games in Prince George in July."
