The Same Game Challenge: Quebec & Canada-Wide Sport Organizations Commit to Strengthening Gender Equity
Canadian Women & Sport in partnership with Égale Action and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (Jumpstart) are proud to announce the 58 sport and recreation organizations participating in the fifth cohort of the Same Game Challenge.
This cohort features 41 Quebec-based sport organizations that will complete the program entirely in French with an additional 17 English-speaking sport organizations from across Canada.
Through the Same Game Challenge, sport leaders will build competencies and develop the skills they need to close gender equity gaps as well as create positive and sustainable change in sport.
"The Same Game Challenge will provide 40 Quebec sports organizations with a new and comprehensive approach to the issues surrounding the girls and women’s participation and involvement in sport. Thanks to the concerted and collaborative process surrounding this initiative, deployed in Quebec in partnership with Canadian Women & Sport, we’re confident that it will contribute directly to creating higher-quality, more accessible sport environments that are better adapted to the needs of each individual. At Égale Action, we deeply believe that equity has the power to positively transform sport for all, and the Same Game Challenge will undoubtedly enable us to take steps in this direction."
